Studying On Soundscape Of The Urban Waterfront Landscape Architecture

Urban waterfront landscape are commonly valued, but people tend to only emphasize on the visual effect while ignoring the sound effect. Targeting at the characteristics of waterfront, introducing soundscape theory and design techniques to create a more comfortable sound environment for urban waterfront landscape becomes a new subject for research.Using the research method such as integrate literature、fieldwork and contrastive analysis to research the soundscape in the urban waterfront landscape. The principal results of study are as follows:1. Selected six typical urban waterfront landscape in Hunan province to research the soundscape in the field with subjective and objective ways. Groups pointed the six place,then analysised and summarized the survey data with six different objective. Some group used a professional statistics software called SPSS to analysised of variance with the survey data.2. Combine the experience in the fieldwork, integrate the research data, and put forward that soundscape design should be focus on the three points. These points are the sound elements that received the maximum,minimum and different appraisal in the field. Received the highest Evaluation elements are added or retained, remove or shield the elements that received the minimum appraisal; evaluation for their evaluation differences cause the greatest difference between elements in different regions offer special design differently. And explore the waterfront landscape design of soundscape in specific steps in the process, the waterfront area soundscape design and environmental analysis, field investigation on the sound environment and Soundscape design functional zoning, soundscape design method of determination and application of four steps. And according to the three design focus summarizes representative waterfront design of sound features elements of specific methods. Includes:①water plants in the landscape design of noise, topographical, architectural sketches, psychological aspects of noise reduction;②in the waterfront landscape protection and add plants, natural sound, the sound of birdsong, history and culture, life and leisure;③waterfront landscape design needs to focus on the difference in shipping specific measures for sound, background music.3. Based on the landscape design method that generalized to design the Sail square where located in the north eastern section of Changsha Xiangjiang sightseeing belt. Waterfront landscape always have very rich sound elements in the environment because of it location is in the intersection where have the most frequently natural and social activities. Through the research will plenty using the soundscape design in the urban waterfront landcape. It not only can effective solution environment in the of noise pollution problem, but also can build more waterfront landscape which have more distinctive waterfront characteristic through strengthening the characteristic waterfront sound elements in the urban waterfront landscape. The more important is that soundscape in the urban waterfront landscape can promote the landscape architecture and soundscape reseach in our country,it can bring more harmonious acoustic feel to our peoole.
