| The outdoor space of the university campus is a special form of urban public space, which carrys rich spatial functions. Its landscape quality affects the campus culture and spirit, and the construction of campus soundscape plays an important role in improving the landscape quality. The research of soundscape has gradually shifted from the basic level of environmental noise reduction to the level of human-centered subjective perception. The scope of research has ranged from rural to urban public spaces. At present, the soundscape research of campus space has achieved certain results, but it is mostly limited to the related research of sound environment monitoring and campus planning scale soundscape optimization strategy. There is insufficient research on the subjective perception of the soundscape by listeners and the soundscape perception of different types of campus spaces. This thesis takes the new and old campuses of Tianjin University as an example, and uses a combination of fixed-point questionnaire surveys and laboratory audio-visual interactive experiments to study the relationship between campus outdoor space characteristics and listener’s soundscape preferences from the perspective of soundscape perception.First of all,we conducted a survey on the perception of sound sources and soundscape preferences of the outdoor space on campus, and analyzed the students’ preference for the sound sources of different spaces on the campus and the satisfaction of the sound environment. The results show that:(1)From the perspective of the campus as a whole, students are satisfied with the overall sound environment;students in the new and old campuses have slightly different sound source perceptions and soundscape preferences;students in new and old campuses have slightly different sound source perception and soundscape preferences;(2)Education,frequency of activity, behavior and other characteristics have a certain impact on the perception of sound sources and soundscape preferences, especially in different types of spaces, there are great differences in the sound sources that students perceive and expect.Secondly, conduct laboratory research based on sound source preferences in different spaces to further explore the correlation between space naturalness and sound source preferences, and explore the impact of sound source composition on soundscape preferences in different spaces. The results show that:(1)There is a significant correlation between sound source preference and natural degree of space. The higher the natural degree of space, the more students expect to hear natural sound. The result is closer to the listener’s subjective evaluation of the natural degree of space;(2)Adding the expected sound sources in different spaces has a positive impact on the soundscape perception. At the same time,it is expected that the unity and continuity of the sound source, and the signal-to-noise ratio of the sound source and background sound pressure level will affect the result. In general, when a single, continuous, negative signalto-noise ratio is added(sound source pressure level is lower than the background sound pressure level),the listener’s satisfaction with the sound scene is higher. This research supplements and enriches the existing research on campus soundscapes from the perspective of sound source perception, soundscape preference and soundscape optimization of different types of outdoor spaces on campus, and provides references for the design and research of soundscape optimization of outdoor spaces in campuses in China. |
