Along with the appearance of the low noise peaceful submarine, the traditional undersea detection methods face the new challenge. The two-dimensional co-vibrating type vector hydrophone which with compact structure, facility of assemblage and particular advantage of characteristic will be used in towed line array. So it will satisfy the needs of undersea detection.First we made an analysis of the scatter theory of a rigid column as the work theory of a co-vibrating type vector hydrophone. We got the relationship between density, dimension and velocity ratio. So the designing guideline of a co-vibrating type vector hydrophone was presented.Secondly we have studied the technics of assemblage. Then we designed one kind of co-vibrating type vector hydrophone which was based on the integrated piezoelectricity accelerometer. Its rigid shell as the receiving component was composed by two piezoelectric ceramic rings.8 vector hydrophones were made and measured in this thesis. The work frequency of the vector hydrophone covered from 800Hz to 4000Hz. Judging by the results, kd was more than 15dB and kâ–³max was less than 3dB. The Mp is -216dBin the frequency of 1000 Hz. The optimal hanging method of vector hydrophone had been presented in course of measure. 4 vector hydrophones were assembled in a line array at last. We also measured its work characteristic in Xin AnJiang reservoir. Judging by the results, this kind of line array can be used in the undersea detection.
