The Design And Research For VDR Testing System

According to the proposal of the IMO A.861(20) and relate provision of Maritime Safety Administration of Ministry of Communication of the Pepole's Republic of China, the ships must install Voyage Data Recorder (VDR), which sail at the international course and cabotage. It is very important in the technology and application that develops and produces the system of VDR experiment examination which not only according to our situations of a country but also meetting technology capability and function need from international maritime affairs. It is important to develop VDR.This article introduces the VDR experiment examination device. This device applies singlechip, network correspondence technology and special integrate circuit to simulate each kind of signal for VDR on the ship and examine the state of VDR.VDR needs gather the audio signal and the signals which gernarate from the equipments including telegraph, steering gear, alarm device, fire proof door, GPS, gyro compass, speed log, meteorograph, fathometer, speed meter, bridge room, radar, etc. Summarily, they include various analog signals, digital signals, signals defined in IEC 61162 series, pulse signals, audio signals and video signals. Therefore, this device must design analog signals generator, digital signals generator, series signals generator, pulse signals generator, audio signals generator, and video signals generator.The hardware system of this device is made of master controller and various signal generators;the soft system is made of the sending signals program and the examining signals program. This system core is master controller;its main function is that it controls various signal generators, receives the data that VDR sends through network, and examines the state of VDR through contrasting the data that VDR has sent with that the master controller has saved.The main work about this thesis is as follows:1. Various gernerators is designed to simulate the signals VDR needs gather.2. The sending signals program is programmed by VB.3. The examining signals program is programmed by VC. The network data correspondence is based on FTP protocol.
