In 21st century, with the rapid development of economy and thecontinous increase in the living standard of the people materially, thepeople are pursuing a more beautiful and more delightful municipal livingenvironment with high gnality at the same time of the people's basic needhas been satisfied. The humaninzational design of the public space hasbecome the urgent need of the people to follow the square craze andwalking street craze recently occurred in our country. But, because themunicipal public space construction of our country are in the starting stage,there are still a sat of serious problems existing in construction policydecision, planning design and management, among which the mostimportant crux of there problems is lack of the humanizational design ofthe city public space raised in this thesis is of most important realisticsignificance.Taking the humanizational design of municipal public space as itsresearch aim and taking the environmental behavioral science as the basictheories of the research, on the basis of the research on historicaldevelopment and present situation of the theories and practice of thehumanizational design both home and abroad, the thesis has summed upthe practical study concerned of our predecessors, expounded the presentsocial background and influence factor of the humanizational design in theconstruction of city public space of our country, and also comprehensivelyanalysed the resent exploration in respect of public space construction andexisting problems in respect of the humanizational design.Using the experience of other countries for reference, this article putforward that in the course of the humanizational construction of themunicipal public space should carry out the principle of people oriented tocreat humanizational space used by the people and experienced by thepeople in accordance with the concrete condition of our country. Fivecountermeasures should be followed to bring up time and again in the hopeof causing deep thinking and to change the present situation a little bit. Atlast, it illustrates by examples that how to use environmental behavioraltheories to create a municipal space with human interest.In a word, the humanizational public space with the characteristics ofcomplexity and pluralism, will be deepened day by day towards thedirection of multi-significance, multi-function and multi-core with thedevelopment of times.
