Aiming at the serious contamination problem in central air-conditioning and ventilation system of domestic public buildings, this dissertation searches for an optimal way to control and solve the contamination problem efficiently. Therefore, proceeding from two basic methods of eliminating and controlling pollution sources, the thesis analyzes and compares the degerming and dusting effect under two purifying strategies, i.e. applying system cleaning and installing new patterns of air filter apparatus, according to test data on site in central air-conditioning systems of some typical public buildings, and arrives at a conclusion that electrostatic air filter is more effective to clean up tiny particles, especially for air cleaning in the civil air-conditioning system. Meanwhile, on a base of air cleaning theory and laboratory test, combining with a central air-conditioning and ventilation system modification work in a large-scale public building, this article analyzes the technicality and economical efficiency of three contamination controlling methods which include cleaning air-conditioning system, promoting fibre air filter level and installing electrostatic air filter. It has been proven again that electrostatic air filter is possessed of distinct economic benefit and environmental benefit in increasing indoors air quality and controlling contamination in central air-conditioning and ventilation system of public buildings. In addition, the article points out the electric field design and efficiency algorithmic method of electrostatic air filter. The research of this thesis intends to provide reference and direct operation significance to the design calculation, performance evaluation, and pattern selection for electrostatic air filter in public buildings.
