Power load is the important part of power system. Load modeling has become a crux factor, which is restricted veracity and trustiness of power system simulation results. This thesis expounds the theory and means about power system load modeling, introduces two method of load modeling, that is, Component-Based Modeling Approach and Measurement-Based Modeling Approach. Component-Based Modeling Approach is based on statistics theory,system identifying,fuzzy mathematics, information procession and so on. Combining with the practice of Hunan province electric power grid, A set of load modeling method is brought forward on the base of load investigation. The thesis adopt investigation and fuzzy clustering to gain all kind of industry trades and transformer sub-stations load static characteristics. The paper aims at weak research of load modeling at present and analyzes the model structure of resident load. By identified abundant experimentation data , the author analyzes exponential and polynomial load models. The results indicate that exponential load models can preferably reflect static characteristic of load, polynomial models is difficult to describe load characteristics. The author uses fuzzy clustering in Component-Based Modeling Approach, sets forth two kinds of classification and aggregate of load characteristics. The method is used in selecting representative consumer , classifying and synthesizing about transformer load characteristic. This way settles the complexity and subjectivity of classifying and synthesizing substation load characteristic successfully. The practical modeling projects prove that the method above is clear in conception, convenient in application and is a valid method to aggregate load modeling.
