Load modeling has been regarded as the basic theory for the electric power simulation analysis, and the management of the data involved in the process of load modeling is very important to this field. The thesis studies the load modeling based on actual electric power network of Hunan province, then emphasis's on the construction of database and management platform of database.At first, the thesis introduces the basic theory on load modeling including Component-Based Modeling Approach, Measurement-Based Modeling Approach, identification theory and fuzzy clustering, then it presents the practice of load modeling which combined Component-Based Modeling Approach and Measurement-Based Modeling Approach. Component-Based Modeling Approach is applied to set up the load static characteristics and three progressive layers to model the load static characteristics, namely, representative consumers, representative industry and representative sub-station are firstly brought forward, the new classifying method—fuzzy clustering is introduced and has been proved significantly valuable. Measurement-Based Modeling Approach is also discussed in this thesis to resolve the problem about load dynamic parameters and especially for the identification of the induction motor's parameters. Some conclusion is drawn which is different from the those named as "typical parameters" widely used in the past time. Clearly it has the important guidance action for the amendment to "typical parameters".The thesis focuses on the construction of the database and management platform of database dealt with the great number of data of load modeling research. SQL Server, VB,VC and EXCEL are introduced to construct the database and management platform. At the beginning, the characteristic of data used by Component-Based Modeling Approach and Measurement-Based Modeling Approach is studied respectively, also the flowing process of data is developed based on the load modeling practices. Then the design of database and import of data with SQL Server are conducted to complete the second step. Finally VB plus VC is applied to build the management platform of database to make the control of database easier. Several advanced technologies such as ADO,DLL, import of EXCEL objects are performed for this target. Especially the data management related with Component-Based Modeling Approach is originally accomplished in china.
