Research On Route Selection Of The High-speed Railway In City Sector

With the urbanization in China, constructing the high-speed railway between the big cities is imperative. The route selection of high-speed railway is extremely complicated. Presently, more concerns have been given to the route selection, mostly over the suburbs, in engineering technologies and economical principles etc. but to those in city sectors.The following article is to discuss the route selection of the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu high-speed railway Hefei section, based on the analysis of the spatial structure, city green and passenger traffic in Hefei City, along with the analysis of various planning on this project. It holds that constructing the high-speed railway in city sector should take the urban spatial structure into consideration and make the high-speed railway a harmonious part in the city. Also, the article offers a favorable planning on the project of the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu high-speed railway Hefei section.
