Folding Space

There are many different architectural styles intermingled together in present civilization. There is, however, a new architectural style, which has emerged, known as folding space. Folding space is a combination of stairs, slope and floor, which all function together to form continuous, multi-level structures that break the limits of layers and enable the efficient layout of an interior structure. This article tries to provide a new understanding of the folding space idea using form and design strategy.The form is about the specific function and style, while the strategy design is a program controlling and explaining the complicated relationships among cities, societies, culture and people, and above the mode and function is the support for the possibility and the promotion of the vast and vivid public areas. Folding space is one kind of media-directing and indoor space form, and is the real media for public characteristic realization. Through the right design strategy, the phenomena known as folding space will play a very active role for both the construction industry and public life.This article emphasizes the form and summarizes the characteristics of the space. This subject comes from the analyses of today's phenomenon and some real practices of my, so put all these things into a system and wish it will become a efficient way for the increase of the creativity.
