Manufacturing Of Nuclear Fuel Assembly For PWR And Study For The Fuel Pellets With Central Hole

Nuclear power station and nuclear fuel assembly are introduced in this paper. Especially, the characteristic of sintered UO₂ pellets and the statue of UO₂ pelletization in YFP are described in detail.According to the requirement of nuclear power developing in our country, we studied the manufacturing of fuel pellets with central hole: we determined the elastic after-effect of green pellets and the shrinkage after sintered through experiments; Based on it, we designed the manual model for pellets with central hole, which fit to the specification of VVER item; Following the compacting test results, we designed the auto model for the rotary press to meet the requirement of mass production.
