As the statement of sustainable development turns into the global common consensus, people get more and more ideas of things about the green settlement. The developed countries and districts had done much research on the development of theories and technology of green architecture/ sustainable architecture from 1960s, and then established some evaluation systems accordingly. The research work in our country is at the initial stage, but in recent years our government published some laws about saving energy and reducing pollution one after the other. Besides, we have acquired many new techniques about how to saving energy.The architecture department in Zhejiang University acquired the project "The research on the green settlement mechanism and suitable pattern of the Yangtze River Delta" from the National Natural Science Foundation in 2001. In the same year, the secondary subject "the index system of the green human settlement in Yangtze River Delta", which belongs to the subject "research on the suitability mode and mechanism of green human settlement ", brought up the idea that using the theories of neural networks and fussy rules to construct the mode of sustainable development index system.As the successive study of the subject "the index system of the green human settlement in Yangtze River Delta", we focus all our attention on the evaluation software development to deepen the subject and make it perfect. Our work includes the foliowings:(1) Identification and estimation of regional gene;(2) Deepen the subject and make it perfect;(3) the evaluation software development.The third point is the most important priority work. In this stage, my tutor gaveme the instructions wholeheartedly and we have highly efficient discussion in our team. Besides, there are some other professional personnel joined in and promoted the development of our subject.Here is the main content of each chapter:The first chapter expounds the development and evolution process of the index system of the green human settlement all over the world. Then we compare their index objects, items, system and process;The second chapter deducts the meaning and necessity of our subject from the status quo, and then brings up what we are aiming at. After summing up last subject's achievements and weak points, I compose what we will focus on next in this thesis: research and development of the evaluating software, which is according to the regional character of Yangtze River Delta and based on the former subject.The third chapter puts forth the principal concept of the software development: easy to use, which means we are striving for making the software easier to use just like the use of point-and-shoot. Then this article dwelt upon three aspects of the concept: conception, principle and the detailed rules. After the analysis to the needness of typical users (experts of residential house design, real estate developer and commen user) of the software, the article points out the essential technique of the software development.The fourth chapter discusses the programmed algorithm of the software development in the following four aspects: the method chosen, structure of the index in various levels, weight of every level and then the dynamic open framework as to evaluate and give guidance to design.The fifth chapter introduces the realization process of the software: the realization of function and the structure of the software. Then the chapter concludes with a presentation of the software operation.The last chapter is the conclusions of the whole thesis. It points out the advantages as well as the shortages of the software. At the end of the thesis, wecompose the develop trends of the software in the near future.In the end of my thesis, detailed rating rules of the index system of the green human settlement in Yangtze River Delta and the relevant items interpretation are enclosed.
