The Research And Developmeng Of A Small CAPP Systembased On Production Management

CAPP is a critical technology link converting enterprise product design data into product manufacturing data. It is one of the basic technology of the advanced manufacturing systems. Enterprise Information-based Engineering propels the development and application of CAPP. In modern manufacturing, CAPP is of great importance and is in urgent practical demand.For a long time in our workshop, low efficiency and qualities lie in production management and craft planning due to diffused and lagged manufacturing information.This research project is out of the above circumstances. Based on practical principle, a small CAPP system which is based on network and database is developed. This CAPP lies in local network in our workshop and it has two layer C/S pattern systems based on windows operating system. Its background database server adopts MySQL, the operating system on the database is WindowsNT server and client server operating system is windows2000. Visual C++6. 0 is used to develop client utility program.The CAPP is designed along the main line of production process .Various of information for production is integrated .Because the information is common shared and updated in time through network, the qualities of craft planning , craft management and production management are improved , the problems of craft planning , lookingup ,update and statistic are resolved .repeated labor is cut down from drawings to products and at the same time efficiency and qualities on technology and production management are improved.The CAPP has run for some time without default, which shows that it is reliable and practical. The levels of qualities and efficiency on production management and craft planning have been raised to some degree.
