The system is a system of the process knowledge acquisition and manage that is integrated in Multi-Form CAPP system and base on the technique of network and database. The contents of the system include the designing of overall scheme, the information modeling sub-system of parts group, the process knowledge acquisition sub-system and the management of the process knowledge and the designing of database.The description of the process knowledge adopts the method of productive rule and frame in this system. It bases on GT and is done according to parts group. The paper advance and design the information modeling tool-system of parts group that bases on feature in the information describing and input of parts. The personnel of the process knowledge acquisition found the information model of parts group. It not only predigests the input of parts information by a long way but also satisfies the description of the process knowledge adequately in this way.The system, adopting Multi-Document Interface, use standard Windows Interface. The foundation of rule, the compile of rule and the debug of the rule are integrated in the system. There are there means about the process knowledge acquisition. One is process instance pick-up, the other isacquirement by man-machine conversation, and the last is full-screen editor. The system resolve many problems triumphantly such as the description of the process knowledge, the storage and modification of the process knowledge in database, process instance pick-up automatically, full-screen editor, share of knowledge and security of system and so on.The system is an on-limits tool system. The embodiment are as follows, the first thing is that the describing method of the parts information can be defined by user, the second is that the basal data can be defined by user also such as cell feature, shape feature, array form, etc, the third is that the relation between the process knowledge of parts group and the information model of parts group can be defined by user, the last is that one engineering database manage the process knowledge, all kinds of basal data, user definition and so on. It realizes not only the abruption between data and program but also the abruption between knowledge and illation.The system can be run on local area network in enterprise. The operating system of the server is UNIX; the DBMS is Sybase System XI. The operating system of the client machine is Windows 98 or Windows 2000. The supporting software in client includes the AutoCAD 2.000, THPCCAD 2000, Sybase and multi-form CAPP system; the exploitation tool of the application in client machine is PowerBuilder 6,5.
