Reasonable preferences are decisive for Pumped-storage energy plant'invest benefit and safe efficient running, and selecting specific rotational speed is precondition factor for selecting parameter of pump turbine. During primary selecting specific rotational speed, the relation between specific rotational speed and head is basic to resolve the question that how to select specific rotational speed of pump turbine, and is precondition for selecting other parameters of pump turbine. This paper get some data on home and overseas, medium and high water head, single-stage, mixed-flow, reversible pump turbine of 42 builded pumped-storage energy plant, then regress and count up these data which involve design lift and specific rotational speed in pump work area, rated water head and specific rotational speed in turbine work area, aspirations height and specific rotational speed in pump work area, and gain below research production. 1. According to data statistics, clean up data of specific rotational speed and lift in pump work area of pump turbine, and use MATLAB to smooth data, at later employ "curve fit"to fit four mathematics model on the basis of different error options and the goodness of fit which refers "sse (The sum of squares due to error) ? 0, R-square (square of the correlation) ? 1, RMSE (Root mean squared error) ? 0", then analyze and compare to get math formulas for selecting parameters. 2. Clean up data of specific rotational speed and water head in turbine work area of pump turbine, take the same ways and principle to analyze and compare five math model, and gain better curve. 3. Clean up data of specific rotational speed and aspirations height in pump work area of pump turbine, take the same ways and principle to analyze and compare three math model, and gain better curve. 4. To utilize two engineering examples: selecting parameters of pump turbine in Xi Longchi and Tong Bo pumped-storage energy plant, compare fitted formulas of which is design lift and specific rotational speed in pump work area, rated water head and specific rotational speed in turbine work area, aspirations height and specific rotational speed in pump work area with old formulas and analyze the error, then get better conclusions. Calculated formulas are several points as follow: 1. Calculated formulas are counted and congressed from home and overseas, medium and high water head, single-stage, mixed-flow, reversible, builded pump turbine of pumped-storage energy plant, and are only applicable for units choice of medium and high water head pumped-storage energy plant. 2. To employ "curve fit"of Matalab to fit mathematics model from the relations on work parameters of pump turbine, which have high efficient, small error, good applicability. 3. Calculated results have higher applied value through calculating and analyzing engineering instances, comparing and analyzing old formulas.
