The planet gear transmission is a mechanical drive device used extensively, having a series of advantages of big drive ration , small volume , light weight, high efficiency etc. So, there are very wide development prospects. But its structure is complicated; it is difficult to design and calculating. In order to meet the need of CAD/CAE/CAM integration, there are the realistic meanings with importance of research of planetary transmission device secondary development.This text regarding powerful three-dimensional modelling software Solidworks as the developing platform, and selecting Visual Basic 6.0 having the target of developing instrument for uses ,and drawing support from the technology of the database, carries the design and calculation of main member in the planet gear transmission, and completes the dynamic modeling of three-dimension. The thesis has finished the following work mainly:This text regarding the developing instrument of Visual Basic 6.0 and combining Access database has set up planet gear transmission and has designed the computing system. It can get atomizing calculation in parameter confirming and component geometry parameter of realizing transmission type choosing, main member of the planetary transmission by passing the introduction of human-computer interaction information.Regarding three-dimensional characteristic modeling software Solidworks as the developing platform, has set up the parameter system of based on characteristic of main three-dimensional model of planet gear transmission. Through two kinds of methods - the parameter of the procedure and interactive parameter changing main parameter in component in order to finish model-size fixing in real time with interactive parameter and upgrade the size of models, as the result of the new model rapidly carry three-dimensional model design of the components in the planetary transmission. At the same time, the thesis adopts DLL technology to transform the application program which produces the main member into a plug-in package of Solidworks, at the aim of the integration with Solidworks.The designing and computing system of the planetary gear transmission set up in the text finish the complicated design and calculation in geometry accurately and fast. It can improve computational efficiency and design dependability notably. Thethree-dimensional modeling system of planetary gear transmission based on characteristic can finish the dynamic modeling work of three-dimension of the major part , for intensity analysis , analysis of performance, making and processing etc establish certain foundation of follow-up.The systematic operation result shows: Design philosophy is correct, user's interface is friendly, and it is reliable to run fast.
