The quality of the clutch directly influences the car's comfortableness and security, thus more importance has been attached to it. Nowadays, most of ordinary automobiles use manual driving friction clutch, while most of sedan limousines employ transformer turbine. Manual driving friction clutch has the advantages like high efficiency and simple structure, but it also has the disadvantages of complex operation and low suppleness. Transformer turbine can make up the deficiency of manual driving friction clutch, but it is too complex and low efficiency in operation. This paper presents a design of a new kind of hydraulic automobile clutch, namely the actuator of rotary hydraulic cylinder which is being changed from the manual driving actuator of friction clutch. At the same time, in order to make the system of automobile clutch more integrated, this paper presents a design of a new kind of digital combination valve with the function of throttling, reversing and unloading. Moreover, the paper has established mathematical models by using traditional dynamics models. After analyzing the stability, transient characteristics and error characteristics on the mathematical models, and simulating experiment by MATLAB, the paper proves that the controlling scheme is feasible on theory. In addition, the paper presents the design of the hardware and software of the control system, and establishes the whole hardware of PLC of the control system, and simulates the clutch system by Kingview. The theoretical analysis and the corresponding simulation testing prove that the structural design and controlling scheme of the system are operable and feasible, therefore it can effectively satisfy the controlling system's performance requirements.
