Several Thinking Of Improving The Space Quality Of The Traditional Business Street

Nowadays, it has been an important trend that the city development begins to returning to the nature, inheriting the traditional culture and looking for both of the historical context and city texture. As we all have known,the traditional business street space is the carrier of the traditional culture. With the long history and the deep accumulated culture, it is concentrated with the culture, the economy, and the social development history of the local area, displayed the certain typical appearance characteristic of the period city in history, and became the special composing in city texture. It has much of meanings in history, culture, spirit, and also has much high developing potentiality in business and travel. But, because of the long history, the quality of the space is usually low, which makes the traditional business street space can't emission its brilliance, as a pearl covered the dust. Therefore it has actual and important meanings to begin researching in the quality of the traditional business street space。In this text, the introduction part primarily introduces the general investigative situation. The author points that the quality of space is depended on the satisfactory degree for person to space. And with the foundation of the system theory, it establishes the research system of the traditional business street in the aspects of space and quality. Then, through the research in the development process of the traditional business street space and the comparison of the traditional business street space and other resemble of the type, the author has defined clearly to the traditional business street space. In Chapter 2, with much on-the-spot investigation results, various information data, and the system of the traditional business street space that has already established, the author analyzed the characteristic of the traditional business street space and its existing problems of China. In chapter 3, according to the quality of space ——the satisfactory degree for person to space, the author combines many research results of physiology, mental state and the theories of city planning design to put forward with some improvement methods from the aspects of the each level of structure of the space system and the various factors to the relation of the main factors。Chapter 4, it is the part of application of the theories. It takes the traditional business street space of GU LIN County as an example to make use of the investigative results. And the author has given some specific improvement methods and suggestions on quality of GU LIN space. There are some characteristics as follows in this paper: ①It has an systematic state of the characteristic of the traditional business street space and its existing problems, and gives some specific improvement suggestions on space quality; ②It has improved the satisfactory degree for person to space and the quality of the traditional business street space on the basis of needs of person , such as physiology, mental state etc. ③It applies the theory to practice to make the theory having actual meanings.
