With the development of Internet and the arrival of Post-PC times, the application of embedded system becomes popular. Now embedded technology has been the focal point of research. Embedded products have possessed great proportion in IT field. The embedded technology based on ARM has become a spot light of current embedded field. There is a big tendency that the microcontroller based on ARM core is replacing the series of microcontroller based on 51 in the field of industry controlling, especially a good future for application which ARM embedded technology combined Industrial Ethernet in industrial automation field can be predicted. Sterilizer, acting as the safeguard of human's health, no matter what is the medical treatment sterilizer or the little sterilizer in family, is widely adopted nowadays. According to the status of sterilizer's controlling system in domestic and abroad , putting the embedded technology based on ARM into the application of sterilizer's controlling system in this thesis, a set of sterilizer controlling system with low losing-energy and low cost and high performance has been studied and developed. It has a good of effect in sterilizer controlling. So it not only conform to the developing tendency of the new technology-the embedded technology, but also has an important and reality meaning. Following the design presented above, a general development platform for sterilizer controlling system has been developed, with emphasis on software and hardware design on the basis of ARM microprocessor and embedded OS. The center of the hardware platform is the microprocessor S3C44B0X made in Samsung Company, with the functions of the net transfer, USB, serial and parallel port etc. In software, the main work is the transportation of an open resource code and embedded OS, uClinux, which is acted as the software development platform. The installation and customization is also introduced in detail about the graphic interface system MiniGUI. Based on the general platform, according to a type of pulsant vacuum sterilizer, some modules of sterilizer have been developed, such as the module of sterilizer data collecting and controlling,the system of man-machine interface and etc.. The module of sterilizer data collecting and controlling includes the data collecting electrocircuit and action controlling output electrocircuit. The emphasis of software is designing sterilizer kernel program. The system of man-machine interface includes the LCD with touching screen, keyboard and printer etc. Finally, the man-machine conversation interface has been developed and validated the usability through the simulation and emulation. From the practice application, the development and application of embedded new technology based on ARM are probed in detail and studied in deep. Result of this research provided a valuable reference for development and study of embedded system.
