To meet these changes, the architects should continuously research the residential life of people and the demand. And the dwelling adaptability becomes the focus of research and concern. In the 21th century, as the flourishing development of society and dwelling, the problem of inconvenience groups in active in the dwelling ought to be concerned. This is a necessary result of society progress, and also is one of the greatest social challenges. Especially our country steps into the ageing community, as the problem became increasingly serious in recent years, how the dwelling design to resolve the problems and meet the demand of the aged becomes an urgent social problem. The dwelling design target spreads from the ordinary healthy people to those the inconvenience groups in active who include the aged, the child and the disabled. Therefore the universal quality of dwelling is placed in a very significant situation, — what type of dwelling can meet the needs of more wide-rang people.The universal design is an ideological trend which first put forward in 1980's in the U.S., and it is a kind of design method from ordinary to particular. In the dwelling design, it is a distinguishing feature that considering the different user demands who are i different age and in different physical levels of health. As a result, it has greater resilience capacity than others else.The thesis target is the inconvenience groups in active and discusing dwelling designs how to meet the demands of those users. The paper analyses universal design problem systematically through the different constitutes of housing design, and the residential problem and features of this type of groups in the cross branch of learning visual angle.
