Study On The Modeling Application In Landscape Architecture

3D modeling is one of the groundwork of the digital landscape architecture construction. Modeling and application of several landscape architecture elements such as plants water terrain and architecture was studied. The 3D plant and architecture modeling was primarily studied.In this paper, the difficulty of 3D plant modeling was analyzed and the overcoming method was offered. 5 plant modelings were compared. It was found that "speed tree" soft was the best. 3D Block and the Inverse Problem technique were proposed to be used in simplifying the plant model construction.The great difference of model construction between the Chinese traditional architecture and the other architectures was studied and skills on the Chinese traditional model construction were brought forward. Paint effects of the digital landscape architecture and the digital architecture are different to a great deal extent. Through research, the reasons that generate those differences were found, which will guide the two digital landscape construction to some extent.Finally, the use of 3D digital modeling on the teaching of landscape architecture was studied. Several samples of teaching of landscape architecture were exhibited. Several key points during teaching the modeling's applications were indicated.
