Building Anti-Magnetic Nucleate Towns In Sub-Developed Area In Developed Region With Yuebei Mountain Area As The Case

The introduction of the thesis tells us the reason that the author choose the subject and the importance and necessity to study small towns in sub-developed area in developed region and explains some of the important concepts mentioned; In part II, based on a great deal of investigation and study, it sums up the characteristics and problems during constructing and administrating small towns in Yuebei mountain area; In partIII, it provides some practical countermeasures of planning in accordance with the characteristics and problems of Yuebei mountain area. Based on the analysis of present situation in Yuebei mountain area-a sub-developed area in developed region, the author raises an important concept-anti-magnetic nucleate town .The thesis generalizes the origins of the thoughts of anti-magnetic nucleate towns and regional basis. The thesis points out that while large investment in agriculture has not started, small towns in Yuebei mountain area should have pre-consciousness. They can not completely copy the experience of "industrialization of village" in coastal developed area. They should make full use of their specific characteristics and advantages to develop anti-magnetic nucleate towns, so as to strengthen their magnetic force and influence , therefore counter against the strong appeal of factor of production and create conditions to meet the industrial expand from the developed Pearl River Delta. Part â…£of the thesis gives a thorough analysis on the counter-measures of anti-magnetic nucleate towns development according to the characteristics of sub-developed area in developed region. And gives five counter-measures of anti-magnetic nucleate towns, i.e, agriculture integration and development of distinctive enterprises; out-going urbanization of population within the limits; construction of ecological small towns; planning in the light of local conditions; improvement of social security system so as to give Yuebei mountain area some help in small towns planning and construction. Part V is example analysis. It introduces the author`s resent representative small towns planning designs, including the master plan of Wengcheng Township , which is an award-winning design of Guangdong Province in 2001. These designs reflect some features of anti-magnetic nucleate town .The last part is a short conclusion of the thesis.
