The problem of how to reveal the mechanism of wind-induced damages about the roof of low-rise buildings by the researches of local wind environment on low-rise buildings is very important to instruct the practice of engineering.Start off the practice of engineering, based on a great deal of the date and literatures , we theoretically conclude and summarize the characteristics of local wind environment and the mechanism of wind-induced damages about low-rise buildings ; Then we modeling with an one-side streamline roof as a low-rise building , and researches of the distribution rule which changes along wind direction and test condition about wind pressure on the model surface in an atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel; In the last of this paper, we make a suite local wind environment conclusion of computational numerical simulation which based on Reynolds time-average equation and by means of realizable k-ε turbulence model about the test model.Some results in this paper identical with some theoretically properties of wind loads about low-rise buildings . According the date and analyse , we put forward some elementary suggests about improve the value of wind load in our country's load criterions and improve the design plan in the wind-resistance about low-rise buildings. The results in this paper can to be the reference of the codification of design wind loads and construction of buildings against typhoon forces.
