Gas valve is one of the key and damageable parts in the automobile air compressor, which is more sensitive than other subassemblies of air compressor. Whether the design of gas valve is reasonable or not will directly influence the volumetric efficiency and operating reliability of the air compressor. So the research on movement law of gas valve is one of the very important parts in gas valve design.The text analyzed the composing and working process of gas valve and did research for the movement law of gas valve. Firstly, according to movement relationship of connecting rod, the author established compressor kinematics model. And then through law of conservation of energy, the author established flux differential equation of admission and release process used by hydrodynamics, engineering thermodynamics and related theories. In succession, the author educed movement differential equation of reed valve plate from differential element of the plate according to theory of elastic plate libration. Last we got mathematical model of the admission valve and release valve's movement law based on above three models.In order to study the dynamic character of the plate, the valve's movement was simplified to a elastic plate system according to movement and boundary condition of the plate, and it is solved by FEA. Firstly, the author analyzed the force condition of the plate, which included elastic force, inertia force, air pressure and etc. And then analyzed the plate's distortion used by ANSYS. At last we got the curve of valve's movement law through analysis and calculation.Through the experiment with measuring frequency and amplitude of gas valve plate of EQ1141G air compressor, and analyzed the experimental data then the author got natural frequency and vibration mode of the plate. Through experiment with whole machine kinematical parameter in gas valve plate and got operating characteristics of the plate were measured.By applying such theoretical research outcomes, the author provided the academic guidance for the design of EQ1141G air compressor, and got comparatively satisfactory results on the improvement of the performance of air valve and air compressor's volumetric efficiency.
