Study On The Movement Principle Of Air Valve And Volumetric Efficiency Of Automobile Air Compressor

Air valve is one of the key parts in the air compressor. Whether the design of air valve is reasonable or not will directly influence air compressor's volumetric efficiency and working reliability. The author explored the principle of compressor's operation and analyzed the composition of air valve. According to engineering thermodynamics, air mechanics, elastic mechanics and related theories, the author establishes mathematical model of inlet and outlet valve slice's operation principle based on synthesizing that the inlet and outlet valve slice's movement is influenced by elastic force, inertia force, air pressure and spring force of valve slice. As the transient dynamics module in ANSYS software is used to analyze valve slice's distortion, the diagram of valve slice's operation principle is drawn out which have been proved to be true by experiments. All the experiments and data indicate the mathematical model is suitable.Also the author did research on the parameters of which can influence air compressor's volumetric efficiency and established the academic mathematical model of volumetric efficiency. Considering that the three parameters: rev of air compressor, the rigidity and thickness of valve slice can be easily controlled in engineering, the author put them into practice. By carefully examining and analyzing of those data which indicate the relationship between the three parameters and the volumetric efficiency, the author got the diagram and function expression with the help of MatLab software.By applying such theoretical research outcomes, the author provided the technical guidance for the design of EQ1141G air compressor, and got satisfactory results on the improvement of the performance of air valve and air compressor's volumetric efficiency.
