With the development of modern technology, many kinds of motor control technique combined with micro-electronics and power electronic technology is making it become a new technology—motion control technology. Because microprocessors and sensors are as a part of new generation of motion control system, it is called as intelligent motion control system. The development of motor control technique root in the development of micro-electronics, power electronic, sensor, permanent magnetic material, automatic control and microcomputor application technology. Simulating realization of motor control strategy is gradually dropping out of historical stage. Adopted modern means such as microprocessors, FPGA/CPLD, general-purpose computer and DSP control, digital control system is rapidly developed. Applied advanced algorithm, total digitalization intelligent control system will become heading of new generation of motion control system design.This project developed intelligent motion control board based on the motor control chip TMS320LF2407A produced by American TI company and ISA bus. PC transfers wide interpolation data to axis control board system through communication of dual port RAM between DSP and PC. DSP analyzes feedback signal of encoder ,calculates errors between input value and feedback value, disposes them by software PID algorithm, obtains position control value and in the form of digit sends control signal which is transformed by D/A into analogue signal to servo amplifier. Through implementing position of closed-loop control for servo motor control, this board can satisfy demand of industrial real-time control.The procedure related with bottom hardware circuit and interface is developed, which include PID algorithm of motor closed-loop control, line interpolation and arc interpolation algorithm. They can be used under Windows95/98 system. Control unit can be further developed to realize sophisticated control arithmetic with above procedure. The procedure is programmed to make the control unit more common.
