Energy sources is the one stratagem emphases of socialist economy construction. With the step of our economy construction is more accelerated, energy sources has become the key which restricts the development of our economy, especially the hydropower sources in electric network is more insufficiency. There are lots of examples of supplying electric power in electric network through increasing capacity of constructed hydropower station. Owing to the Longyangxia hydropower station bears to regulate climax and frequency of hydropower in North-west network, and because it is a multi-year regulative reservoir which possess 178 meters high dam and 270 hundred million stere water, the planning for south-to-north water transfers will supply 170 hundred million stere water, so it is a urgent problem to resolve how to transfer these waterpower sources to electric energy. In this paper, the author analyzed the feasibility of increasing the turbine generator unit capacity from 320MW to 350MW in the Longyangxia hydropower station on condition that the steel tube of turbine and scroll case were not changed and fixed 122 meter high water head.In this paper, the author started on the basic equation N=9.81QHη of turbine generator, studied the problem of increasing capacity of turbine generator unit of the Longyangxia hydropower station following several aspects:1.Summarized the running case of turbine generator in ten years, it indicated that the turbine generator unit of the Longyangxia hydropower station can running safely with full load under 125m water head. Moreover, it can overtake 10% hydropower on condition that all equipment function are stabilized.2.The theory indicates that the runoff is 335m/s when the turbine generator unit run under 122m water head with 350MW load. Moreover, with this parameter, the turbine generator unit can run safely, vapour erode can limit in criterion, regulative pledge calculation can meet design.3.The experimentation of increasing turbine generator unit capacity indicates that the turbine generator can run safely with 350MW load, the dynamotor efficiency is 98.67%, and it increase 15% than designed today.4.Through brief economy analysis, the author got the outcome that the corporation can increase income 37,600 thousand yuan after increasing turbine generator capacity two years. 5.When the west line project of the planning for south-to-north water transfers will finished, it will supply 170 hundred million water to the upstream of the Yellow River, this will ensure that the turbine generator can run under the high water head and provide abound water for dam. Because the Longyangxia hydropower station is the first regulative frequency and climax station in north-west, the benefit is also prominence after increasing 120MW capacity.6.Hydropower is pure energy source, if the four turbine generator units of the Longyangxia hydropower station increase 120MW capacity, it will save 60 thousand ton coal every year. The turbine generator units capacity increase also can bring remarkable benefit for environment and society. The studied results indicate that it is feasible of increasing the turbine generator unit capacity from 320MW to 350MW in the Longyangxia hydropower station on condition that the steel tube of turbine and scroll case were not changed, and the benefits of economy, society, entironment are also remarkable. ...
