Because of its advantages of low cost et al in the costal engineering, the large diameter cylinder structure has a broad prospect of the application in the soft soil engineering. But its dynamic stabilities under adverse circumstance, such as deep water, big wave and et al, are still a hard problem to be solved.The states of subsisting and the destructive forms of the large diameter cylinder breakwater have the obvious dynamic characters. But the design and the calculation methods about it are still in the static surface and can't reflect its dynamic characters. Accordingly, on the basis of the research of the dynamic characters of the caisson breakwater, this paper analyzes its dynamic properties under the wave impact. Combining with the advantage of simplified method and the FEM, a new dynamic calculation system model was founded. This model takes the large diameter cylinder as a discrete rigid body system, and takes the ground as a discrete tri-dimension nonlinear spring-dump system. Then it researches the factors of dynamic stabilities of the large diameter cylinder breakwater structure.
