| The country has clearly brought the development and opening of Tianjin Binhai New Area into the overall development strategy at the present stage , as an important part of the Tianjin Binhai New Area ,Tianjin Port is the greatest comparative advantage and core strategic resources of Tianjin , which creates a rare historical opportunity for Tianjin Port to get more rapid development and strive to be a world-class port .At current ,Tianjin Port has been constructed from the original coastline to the sea , thus we have to build the breakwater(the dam)as a shelter to defend the intrusion of the wave , the sediment and the ice in the port waters'fringe. At the same time, with the land resources-short and the construction of the dock and yard behind the breakwater(the dam), the breakwater will not only be loaded by the wave but also be affected by terrestrial loading, which changes its loading form .The Shenhua Coal Terminal and Ore Terminal of Nanjiang port area in Tianjin Port form their lands just by hydraulic fill behind the semi-circular dam , and then by the method of vacuum preloading to make it meets the standard of construction land. These may have adverse effect to the dam , on one hand when heaping up the silt to the inside of dam will inevitably extrude the breakwater towards the seaside, on the other in Tianjin Binhai Area, the vacuum preloading method and the vacuum combined with surcharge preloading method are used during the soft soil improvement, then to build up the level of with material such as sand or gravel is usual practice and this can lead to the inside horizontal earth pressure rise. Especially when using vacuum combined with surcharge preloading method, the multistage loading will exert a strong influence on the stability of the semi-circular dam, and the landslide will even occur without control. Under this circumstance, associating with the predecessors'achievements in breakwater and shore stabilization, main contents are as follows in this paper:(1). Introduce new problems and new challenges of port construction put by the development of the Tianjin Port, Introduce hydrogeology conditions of the Tianjin Port and the application of the breakwater(the dam) here.(2). To the situation of the reclamation of land inside the breakwater (the dam), analyzing its stability, especially reclamation of land inside and maintenance dredging of navigation channels outside at the same time in the Dongjiang port and eastern Nanjiang port on an unfavorable condition of digging in front and heaping behind. This paper also does a comparative analysis between actual date and theoretical date.(3). Combined with application situation of semi-circular breakwater at the Tianjin Nanjiang Port, compare the measured date with the result calculated by Abaqus software to comparative analysis of its stability impacted by reclamation inside. |
