With the rapid development of nuclear power engineering in recent years, the seismicsafety of the breakwater and the Nuclear Power Plant drainage problem more and morewidespread concern of the experts and scholars. Although the height of the breakwaterstructure far below the dam, but the importance of nuclear safety is definitely inferior tothe dam, earthquake once occurred to undermine the harm caused is unimaginable. Depthseismic studies for nuclear power plants in marine projects, an accurate grasp of thedynamic characteristics of the breakwater and other geotechnical structures, correspondingearthquake measures taken to ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants, hasimportant practical significance.This paper presents a numerical simulation method applicable to the dynamicresponse of the breakwater earthquake. The detailed study of the dynamic response of thedisplay of dynamic calculation methods, described in detail for ALE fluid-structureinteraction analysis of computing theory, elaborated on the strength reduction finiteelement method, seismic dynamic response model of the breakwater and the simulationtheory basis.In this paper, the engineering and geological characteristics of the Qinshan nuclearpower plant of a seawall, breakwater earthquake dynamic response model, among thecriteria on the analysis of the simulation process involved several intensity guidelines, anddetails given conversion method, elaborated on the breakwater seismic dynamic responsenumerical simulation model, including the initial ground stress calculation, the addition ofthe artificial boundary, the selection of the damping, and the adjustment of the seismicwaves, and gives the breakwater ground motion completely dynamic analysis, modelingand simulation process.In this paper the use of finite element analysis software ls-dyna, the breakwater in thetwo ground motion input (SL-I, SL-II) under the seismic dynamic response analysis, themain study the breakwater in the process of earthquake displacement response, dynamicstress response and permanent deformation.
