With the speedy development of electron and information technology, the process of digitalization becomes more and more rapid in the industry control field. Because of the slow process of digitalization in hydraulic control, electric control replaces hydraulic control in some field which used to belong to hydraulic control. Network brings a profound technology revolution in industry control field. The structure of control system has two popular directions. One is the direction of network, and another is the direction of open. Embedded controller is a basic access equipment in industry control network. It is in charge of real-time control, watching, management and helping other equipment to work. It is very important to research and develop embedded, digital, electro-hydraulic control system that has the function of network and self-fault diagnosis. It will promote the competitive power of hydraulic control system.This paper studies in depth the technology of electro-hydraulic digital control system based on Vx Works, on the base of collecting broadly the relate literature and works, which relies on the plan project of the Scientific and Technical Committee of Wuhan city.On the base of researching the digital process of hydraulic control system, an embedded hardware platform is brought forward, which suits electro-hydraulic digital control system. Then according to the require of hard real-time and high reliability in electro-hydraulic digital control system, VxWorks(embedded real-time operation system) is selected as the software development platform. The Board Support Packet is migrated for Geode GX1 CPU, and the cross development environment is set up. Also software development and code optimization is researched in embedded circumstance in the paper.Electro-hydraulic position control system is analyzed and summarized in this paper. The mathematics model of the system is founded using transfer function theory. Simulate study about the model is done using MATLAB/Simulink software. Finally the digital PID controller is designed to improve system dynamic performance.In the end a practical embedded computer is designed and the control system software is developed.
