Nowadays, the application of embedded system is very popular, however, it is mainly concentrated on high-tech products and household appliances in our country, and the field of traditional industry isn't given much attention to. Based on the project-the detecting technology of axle, in this paper a study on the application of embedded system in the field of industrial control is made, and through introducing the idea of embedded system design into the whole process of designing the control system, using the embedded real-time operation system uC/OS- II replacing Windows operation system, an embedded system is designed and developed to execute the functions such as real-time detection. The whole system is made up of the software part and the hardware part, and gets the input through sensors, and then deal with related information with the data processing unit.In this paper the design of the structure, hardware and software of this straightening and detecting system of axle is finished. On the basis of the detailed analysis of the embedded real-time operation system uC/OS- II, some methods of improvement are presented and make the real-time system more perfect. In thedesign of the hardware part a new hardware design platform is developed. In thedesign of the software part the multi-task running mechanism based on the real-timekernel is presented. And compared with the traditional fore-and-aft pattern, the advantage of embedded real-time operation system is demonstrated, and the real-time problem of detecting system is resolved, at the same time, the system's stability is enhanced.
