With the rapid development of the power cause, the voltage degree of the power transmission increases continually, the extra-high voltage (EHV) and ultra-high voltage (UHV) transmission lines appear in succession. Recently, people pay more and more attention to the biological effect of the electromagnetic field (EMF) caused by the EHV transmission line to the health of human. Studying the EMF distribution in human body is helpful to know the right relation between the EHV transmission line and the human health. The paper studies the relation between the EHV transmission line and the human health by calculating method based on the present research achievements.The paper studies the physiological structure character of human, and creates a brief and effective electromagnetic model, which can simulate the electromagnetic character of human. According to the model mentioned above, we analysis the EMF equations in human body. The paper summarizes the method to calculate the EMF near the power transmission line by analytic method, calculates the distribution of the EMF in human body and the energy absorbed by human under the EHV power transmission line using a mix of numerical and analytic method. The method avoids the shortcomings of the unreasonable mesh and slowly calculation speed with the numerical method directly. Based on the results, the article analysis the main factors: the voltage level and the current of the line, the height of the line, the distance between two phases, the structure and the location of the lines, that affect the distribution in human body, and gets some basic principles. According to the environmental and medical reports, associating to the safety criteria and test results, comparing with the calculating results, the paper studies the relation between the EHV transmission line and human health. It is the conclusion that the heat absorbed by human body is too small to cause the thermal hurt to human under the present EHV transmission line in our country. For the unthermal effect of the magnetic field caused by the EHV transmission line, the intensity of the magnetic field has entered the range of thedangerous window. But it is needed to continue to study in future to understand the effect of the magnetic field to human exactly.This paper studies the safety of the biological effect of the EHV effect by calculating the EMF distribution in human body, and gets some theoretical and actual conclusions.
