MIL-STD-1553B, the America military data bus standard, is a more popular avionic bus standard in the world. With the high reliability and agility, the multiplex transmission bus is widely applied in aeroplane, warship and tank. The key to the 1553B bus system is to design 1553B data bus interface controller chip. At present, the chip products are manufactured overseas on the whole. A few companies control the key technology. Consequently it's necessary to design and produce the chip in building national defense.After studying the MIL-STD-1553B protocol and design of foreign chip product, this paper puts forward a project of designing the whole interface controller and also gives the design and simulation of the important modules. The project brings forward a new kind of system structure based on SoC technology, which is an advanced technology in IC design. Avionics syntheses and military 1553B data bus protocol are introduced in detail. After the testing of the important modules and the whole controller modules, the project is proved to be right, and to be prepared for the realization of controller core.
