With the development of integrated avionics technology, new airborne Data Busappears constantly. As one of the most widely used aircraft data Buses, it is important tostudy the data monitoring technology of MIL-STD-1553B to improve the testingefficiency of avionics products.With a background in helicopter application, this thesis studies the data monitoringtechnology of MIL-STD-1553B and has developed a kind of Bus monitoring equipmentbased on PXI measurement platform. The1553B Bus hardware module used isACX-1553-4card of AIM Company. This equipment will be directly applied in thetesting of electronic products in avionics system.According to MIL-STD-1553B Protocol, firstly, this paper studies topologystructure of1553B Bus, data communications principles, message transmission modes,words formats and the data store ways from the theory level. Secondly, this paperstudies the functions the Bus data monitoring system should have from global and locallevels. Thirdly, this paper determines to use the PXI Bus system to build the testingplatform, and finished the design of corresponding hardware structures and sixdedicated adapters.Finally, according to BC/RT/BM and other main function modules,this paper studies the method of configuration of store addresses, messages, framestructures in software. Totally, this paper has produced a set of software system.This paper lays emphasis on the research of programming principles and designmethods of1553B Bus communication in LabVIEW.Driven by the error data flow, thesoftware can use dynamic link library calls and step-down subroutine calls to achieve1553B communication. This paper has also developed a method of Bus data monitoringby reading the preset cache data of BC/RT/BM. In order to make the Status Word matchthe remote terminal address, a kind of algorithm using logic bit shifts has been designedin the bottom layer of the program. In the end, the hardware platform and softwaresystem of1553B Bus data monitoring has been testified by function experiments in thispaper.The1553B Bus data monitoring system designed in this paper can achieve fullfunctions of BC/RT/BM message transmissions and can capture all the data during theprocess. Also, the content of the message can be totally designed by users. This paperlays a strong foundation for the subsequent development of functional testing system inspecific avionics systems.
