Design Of A Small Dredging Simulator Of Cutter Suction Dredger

Mechanical dredging is one of the effective engineering measures to solve problems caused by sand deposited in rivers and lakes. Because a cutter suction dredger can continuously excavate and transport the dredged material, it has extensive adaptability and good economy. In practice, because of the differences in soil property and irregular riverbed, dredging processes are usually complicated. In addition, dredger operators are required to understand dredging processes and to be familiar with the basic characteristics of the dredging equipment through specific training in order to control the dredging equipment correctly.For dredging staff training and study of dredging technology, the function, system structure, data flow and the mathematical model of dredging processes, etc, of a small cutter-suction-dredger simulator are discussed based on the application of computer technology and computer graphics in this thesis. The small cutter-suction-dredger simulator will play an important role in dredging staff training, and offer means for the research of the dredging dynamic characteristics.
