Hills and mountainous regions compose the main of Shanxia Reservior Region. There are even high mountains and sharp in some areas. The geological structure is complex; The ground vegetation is poor in the scope. The pelentiful rain and water systems cause the serious erosion. At different time and place, the precipitation rainfalls are quite different. In the resent years, the urban constructions are greatly increased in the scope due to Shanxia Reservior Region project. Because of the incring of human action and lacking of environment protecting, the unstable geological units become more unstable. This makes various geological disasters and potential geological disasters during Shanxia Reservior Region project construction, In the future the rising of Shanxia Reservior Region water level will cause more and more geological disasters. Now the Central Government has recognized this and decided to strengthen geological disaster forecast and preventing jobs so that can ensure the safety of people's lives and possession in the region. The great effort has been done to make society, economy and environment develop harmony.Based on the analysis of the causes and characteristics of Shanxia Reservior Region Reservoir regiong's geological disasters, the thesis discusses the project management of Shanxia Reservior region's geological disaster preventing, and emphasizes that in order to execute so many large scale geological disaster preventing projects in very short period, not only needs to do very good jobs in project quality control, progress control, cost control, contract management, information management and risk forecast, but also needs to study the problem during the project construction carefully. The writer hopes this paper can do benefits for the future geological disaster preventing projects of Shanxia Reservior Region. Furthermore the safeguard system of the sustainable development of society and economy can be come into being and the basic scientific foundation for controlling and reducing disasters can be offered.
