Study Of Image Compressing Technique In Digital Still Camera

Digital Camera, as a representative product of 20 century's Information techique development, was widly in the favor of most users for its high performance, easy operation, simply interface with Pc and multimedia network, as soon as it come forth. This paper is a part of the project from Information Industry bureau of Chongqing , named "the Study of Digital Camera' Key Technology".Domestic research or digital camera techique and industrialization of digital camera production come late, mainly because that digital camera relate to many high technology, such as sensor technology, micro-electronics, exactitude optics technology, micro machine control techique, digital signal processor techinology and computer multimedia technology. The produce technique of optics, integrate circuit and micro machine relate to such technology is just the weakness inland. All of the reasons restict the development and industrialization of domestic digital camera industry. Our research should focus on appliance research.This paper mainly introduces the image compressing technique in digital camera, consisting of universal image compressing techique, image compress algorithmic in the international still image compress standard JPEG2000, JPEG2000 file format, soft validating of the algorithmics, and transplanting the algorithmic to digital signal processor. In detail, the content for research include wavelet analysis theoretics, image gathering, image compress algorithmic, image compress technique standard, and image processing in dsp. In addition, the work principle of image compress system in digital camera is introduced. Moreover, the image processing flow is analysed detailedly. JPEG2000 based on wavelet transform is a new image compress standard of many excellent characters. Iamge compress algorithmic can run more efficiently on dsp.The success of techinique research, including entire digital camera product and the key technique, and the industrialization of digital camera industry can give our own knowledge property right in digital camera technique, and then enhance the function of digital camera, upgrade its ability to compete. The new information technique, research & develop person with ability, and device resources will accelerate the success of other new IT product.
