The Image Processing And The Wireless Transmission In The Intelligent Traffic System

Image transmission technology is one of the key technologies to make traffic control intelligent. The paper researches mainly about two aspects. One is about with-car-brand still image compression. The other is about image transmission by WLAN.There are a couple of classic relationship and theory, that is Nyquist Relationship and Shannon Law, which control the data maximum transmitting speed and decide the capability to send information by channel. The aims of image compression are to reduce the data currents that transmit in a channel, and to make transmission safe, speedy and reliably. What the paper research is about with-car-brand still image. Compared with a few other transforms such as Cosine Transform, Wavelet transforms have better adaptability for image processing and it is retractile in handling frequency. It is a good tool for time-frequency analysis. Firstly the paper based on wavelet-based multi-resolution analyses and time-frequency analysis locates the car-brand in an image from coarse to fine. "Coarse" means to search and match the car-brand. "Fine" means to confirm the car-brand in the high-frequency area. Secondly, the classifying compression idea has been introduced into the paper. It encodes car-brand region of the image with a better quality, and encodes the background of it with a low grand quality. So it is not only that high compression ratio is achieved, but also it fulfills the need, that is the need to correctly recognize the car-brand and the need to maintain the integrality of the image.At present, the implementation of the intelligentized traffic system mostly adopts the technology of wired transmission. But the developing trend is that the wireless technology will be more adopted. The reason for it is that city planning will more strictly demand not to destroy common establishment randomly. And as far as the development of the technology and reducing the construction cost, it is a wise choice to transmit information with WLAN. The paper has some discussion about the WLAN and offers a typical scheme and its simple analysis.The intelligent traffic control has become popular recently, and it is so hot that research about it become important.
