With the economic rapid development and expanding scale in developed small towns,travel demand of residents has great growth. The construction of highway passenger terminalsmust be constructed. But the study of site-selection and layout and traffic transfer of highwaypassenger terminals in developed small towns has received relatively little discussion. Thelayout theory and method of highway passenger terminals are still deficient, and should beenhanced. So, this paper started systematic research from the macroscopic view of highwaypassenger terminals of the developed small towns. Including scale and location selectionmethod of highway passenger terminals, the connection with various means of transport,road network traffic organization in neighboring area of terminals, and so on.Firstly, based on the analysis of space structure characteristic, social and economiccharacteristic and road characteristic of developed small town and function of highwaypassenger terminals in it, the paper discussed the passenger source and the characteristic ofpassenger flow. And put forward the relation between the highway passenger terminals andthe town development.Secondly, the paper studied the method of the layout and site-selection of highwaypassenger terminals in the developed small towns. Base on the analysis of the estimate ofhighway terminal of the developed small towns, the paper analyzed requests of highwaypassenger terminals and revise the formula of scale. The paper put forward a new thought ofsite selection “first determinate region, second select range carefully, finally accuratesite-selection†accord to the situation of the small towns. During the period of “firstdeterminate regionâ€, the paper divided the service zone and defined the service zone of thehighway passenger terminals. During the period of “second select range carefully†make surethe traffic zone of the highway passenger terminals in the service zone specifically. During theperiod of “finally accurate site-selectionâ€, the paper put forward a optimal site-selectionmodel that takes the minimum time and travel cost as the multiple-objective function.Thirdly, the paper researched on traffic transfer of the highway passenger terminal fromthe following three aspects: the paper analyzed the traffic transfer model between the highwaypassenger terminal and the various means of transport in town; then, it elaborated the requirements of layout of the passenger terminal access and the main points of trafficorganization in square; lastly, it put forward the method of traffic organization to the roadnetwork and junction close to the passenger terminal.Finally, the paper took the Shuitou Town in Nan’an city as an example, with combinationof theoretical study, the paper analyzed the site-selection and traffic transfer of highwaypassenger terminal in Shuitou Town. |
