Nowadays, circuit breaker are developing toward to self-energy arc-extinguishing direction.This paper is finished on the basis of accomplishing the design of spring operating mechanism which can coincides with LW33-126 three-phase SF6 circuit breaker self-designed by our company.A thorough discussion on the design requirement of the circuit breakers' spring operating mechanism,the design process of the openning or closing switch mechanism, the tripping mechanism, energy storage mechanism and simulant test device is made.Especially ,the new design theories and methods for three key problems concerning the design of circuit breakers' spring operating mechanism are proposed.Firstly ,a new design method is used in order to achieve the matching of the spring operating mechanisms'characteristics of output force and the circuit breakers' load property,which is in accordance with the characteristics of output force(moment)and the requiements of the mechanism operation's speed.Secondly,the design method of reduce force mechanism is put forward in the tripping mechanism.Thirdly,the method for calculating the design parameters in the energy storage mechanism is presented,which is the ratchet mechanisms of the inter-acting lock power.In addition to above these,in order to improve spring mechanism's efficiency and avoid adjustment again and again on the circuit breaker,a design method of simulator is introduced.Theoretical analysis and practical design show that ,a bettermethod for designing the spring operating mechanisms can be built up by adopting these theories and methods.Practical production also shows spring operating mechanisms can adapt LW33-126 SF6 circuit breaker's openning or closing function. Methods and Theories in this paper will provide our company a theoretical basis and reference for the improvement of designing operating mechanism.
