With the rapid development of the power grid, the requirements for the reliable and safe operation of power equipment are becoming higher. As a kind of important power switch, high voltage circuit breaker plays an important role in the whole power system. In order to ensure the reliable and stable operation of high voltage circuit breaker, the judge should be made in time and correctly to deal with various abnormal conditions. At present, the fault diagnosis of high voltage circuit breaker is mainly based on the analysis of circuit breaker testing signal, yet the research on the classification of priori knowledge, signal feature extraction and comprehensive management are relatively rare. In view of this, at the point of data acquisition and fault diagnosis of the high voltage circuit breaker device, this paper designs the fault diagnosis knowledge database of the high voltage circuit breaker, by the management of priori knowledge of circuit breaker operation, contact time travel parameters, vibration signal and coil current signal at the process of the circuit breaker tripping and closing, and various signal characteristics that used to diagnose fault.Firstly, the overall structure of the fault diagnosis of high voltage circuit breaker is designed, based on the classification of circuit breaker malfunction and the source or the analysis of the diagnosis data.Secondly, the paper analyzes the characteristic signals that can be used for circuit break fault diagnosis, and extracts the intermediate characteristic values measured by the data of the high order accumulation features, at the example of the vibration signal collected in circuit breaker tripping and closing process. The three and four order of the high- order accumulation has a good inhibitory effect on many kinds of field noise, especially show its superiority on the processing of the non-stationary and the nonlinear vibration signal.Finally, according to the source of high voltage circuit breaker datae, the priori knowledge database of fault diagnosis is designed to establish the database module, including fault standard index, operation data collection and storage, training result. Thus laying a good foundation for subsequent fault diagnosis which is based on the priori knowledge database.
