| If the relationship of a hotel' s functional spaces conforms to the user' s behavior is the key which decides the hotel is successful or not. Therefore, as a designer, we must understand the hotel' s user' s needs and behavior. And it' s the basis of the hotel designing.Based on the user' s behavior, The thesis uses ethology, fully absorbs the results of current studies and through lots of analysis and conclusion on many examples, to sums up some problems of the downtown hotel. Meanwhile, it also tries to build a bridge among designers, users and administrators. As a whole, this thesis aims at solving concrete problems that urgently need to be solved, drawing an conclusion and presenting an operable way.The first part of this thesis recounted the development of the modern downtown hotel and the relationship of the hotel' s functional spaces and the present state of modern hotel' s design. Meanwhile, it finds some problems of the hotel' s functional spaces in our country. The second part introduced the downtown hotel' s classifications, grades and sizes. It also recounted the hotel' s functional space' s composition. The third part introduced the way of studying which finds the hotel' s user' s needs and behaviors in the hotel. The last part is the most important part of this thesis. It recounted the varied relationship of the hotel' s functional spaces through studying the varied user' s behavior from overall to every parts. At last, the thesis tell us the principles of designing a reasonable relationship of the downtown hotel' s functional spaces. |
