Study On The City Road Traffic Safety Management

With the more using of the ITS technologies on the city traffic, it brings a new chance to the management of the city road traffic. The ITS makes the information foundation of the future management of the city road traffic, so we can forecast the traffic accidents and prevent the people from them. Now with the great increasing of the vehicle number in China, the present traffic situation of the safety management gets more and more worse. To reduce the traffic accident rate, vehicle engineers, roadway designers, traffic engineers and ergonomic experts all over the world have been looking for the efficient measures.In this paper, the first, the present city road traffic safety situation was analyzed and the great meaning of the city road traffic safety management was pointed out. The second, according to the analyzing a great number of the city traffic accidents, the conclusion is made that the driver (including the direct causations and indirect causations) is the main reason to the traffic accidents. With setting up the city traffic exigency system, improving the participator's traffic safety culture, making the city road traffic safety plan, the city road traffic safety management will easily switch to be digital and informational. At last, an road traffic safety analyzing of a city was made and some measures were brought forward.Based on the study of this paper, it makes for the improving of the city road traffic safety management and reducing the traffic accident rate.
