Topological Analysis For DMS Based On GIS

This paper is aimed at developing the topological analysis functions of DMS,based on the GIS platform. They are different from normal network link-relationship analysis(also called as Network Topology).This paper elucidates its essense ,and shows its important role in the process of GIS/SCADA uniting. Considering the characteristic of distribution network, this paper introduces a more appropriate network model for distribution network topological analysis.Make this model by ArcCatalog,Draw the distribution map by ArcMap. Based on the ArcObject －COM library－ supplied by ArcGIS,this paper develops network topological analysis functions.Including the basic analysis functions and extended analysis functions.The basic analysis functions include the inspecting, supplying electric areas, finding supplying source, analoging the switch's off and on, network reconfiguring and Automatic inspecting street centerline ,etc.The extended functions include the unition of inside and outside of substation and singline in the background,etc. This functions not only fortifies the theoretic basis of realizing the unition of Gis/SCADA,but also makes an improtant step in practise.
