Currently, as a basis module for distribution management system software, topology analysis of the distribution network has received increasing attention. Analysis calculations of advanced application software and the operations of staff also depend on the results of the topology analysis. At the same time, one of the hot issues discussed is the formation of the original topology, the solution to the problem has developed from the traditional manual input to automatic mapping. Based on the development of Distribution Geography Information System, the thesis researched topology analysis and some key issues. There are some problems of traditional data model in GIS application. It is difficult for them to describe non - structured or complex - structured data in GIS and can't express the relation of inheritance, aggregations, and so on. The thesis introduces Geodatabase model ,designs GIS data model of the Distribution Network Service Information System based on Geodatabase; Then, introduces a method of design spatial database by apply UML and CASE tools of ArcGIS. On this basis, discussed specific applications of distribution network topology analysis, included the identification of the best trails, electricity power point analysis, transformer stations supply area, simulated operation switches. And to the example of the analysis power points, gave detailed steps and some of the key issues of distribution network topology analysis. Finally, the dissertation proposed an improved search algorithm, extracted features of distribution network topology and abstractly expressed, automatic mapped connect map of distribution lines.
