The geographic conditions in Hunan & Hubei provinces have their remarkable characteristic, which is dominated by rivers and lakes with a small amount of plains and hills. So even in these years many properties have maintained chronically. Furthermore, the properties of local production are also determined by these geographic conditions. The building materials are the most important components of local production and the constricting conditions of architectural styles. Hunan and Hubei have their advantages in mountain forests and stone mines, which can lay solid foundations for the multi-styles in local buildings.Secondly, from the point of historical development, the origin of Chu architecture styles is analyzed. The remains and changes in local architectural features have their certainty and accidental results since it germinated. From the ancient Chu period to the splendid Qin-Han dynasties, it also embodied colonial styles in modern times.
