Exploration Of The Construction Mode Of Assemble And Evacuate Spaces Before A Major Railway Station In Our Country

Now our country is right in the accelerating phase of urbanization, and the visage of our cities changes with each passing day. However, while some great progress is made in the building of our city spaces, the development of someother spaces seem to straggle. The land is not only one of the important resources of a city, but also a capital of the city. To effectively make use of the lands as resources of a city to benefit for the city, so as to increase the value of the lands in the city. This is so-called "City Marketing" in many places these years.This Thesis is focused on the spaces before the railway station, because there are many people passing by as the railway stations are transport interchanges. However, as to the situation in domestic, the view of city spaces around the railway stations in many big cities is not so good as expected: the frequently traffic jam, society peace problem and lower level of office buildings, commercial buildings and hotels around the railway station. This is the problems that the administrators of the city desiderate to solve. To the department of railway, the construction of the railway station is not the core of development of the railway transportation, but facing the increasingly large amount of working man, tourists in "the Golden Weeks", College and University Students and etc., the railway department should improve its quality of services, and exploit more profitable items. In foretime, the adscription of area before railway stations is somewhat vague, as it locates on the joints of railway department and the local government, it makes this area a vague one in administration. I suppose that collaboration between the railway department and the local government is the right way to solve the problems above thoroughly.In recent years, some domestic cities begin to reconstruct the old railway station or newly build one; at the same tirhe, many articles or essays emerge in some architectural magazine studying the construction mode of the area before the railway stations. But relatively speaking, there are few articles which are studying this item at a integrating point of Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Design, Transportation and Administration of the cities. This thesis is trying to explore some realistic construction mode from the integrating point mention above.
