Dandong Moon Ireland Bridge is a concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with the greatest span in China. The construction sequence of that bridge is very complex and the construction skill required is in much high level. During the process of construction, the stability of the bridge is the key of all the problems. Moreover, adjust of the arch axes of this kind of bridge is quite limited and no adjust for the structural figure and stress is available after construction. Therefore, the construction control is very important to guarantee construction safe and make internal force and figure meet design requirements.Dandong Moon Ireland Bridge's construction control includes the following work:1. Make sure the total construction project and primary sequence by analysis, calculation and comparison. According to construction conditions, an economical and reliable closure project is formulated. The time limit for the project is greatly shortened. Make sure the pumping project that concrete should be symmetrically pumped into the two lower chord members before into the two upper chord members. Make sure the sequence of traverse beam is installed and deck concrete is cast. These construction projects play important roles in safe construction.2. Stability, stress and deformation control during construction are put in practice. To guarantee stability to meet requirements, stability is analyzed in detail. According to theoretic value, some measurements for stress and deformation are adopted to control internal force and figure in a reasonable range.3. The bridge is a concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with tied bar. The thrust of arch springing line during each phase is resist by corresponding tied bars. In a certain state, it is critical and important to make the correct value and reasonable time of pull of tied bars.
