Based on the technologies of preformed fragment and shaped charge warhead, through the combination of preformed fragment and MEFP, a composite damage warhead structure which could form composite destroying elements armed with certain damage ability and area of dispersion on the warhead’s axial position was studied. Based on the theories of the performed fragments’dispersion and the shaped charge, the destroying elements’dispersion regularities for composite damage warheads were researched under different conditions by the combination of numerical simulation and experiment.Firstly, the theoretical calculation methods about initial velocity and dispersal angle of axial preformed fragment were introduced in the structure of columnar charge with shell. The finite element models for composite damage warhead were established using software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and the forming processes of destroying elements in the composite damage warhead were researched. Through the analysis of regularity for performed fragment dispersion under different warhead structures, the influences of charge structure to the dispersion of performed fragment were acquired. The regularities of performed fragment dispersion were researched under different grille locations, shell thicknesses and detonation point locations in the composite damage warheads, and the regular curves of velocity and dispersal angle for preformed fragment were obtained under different conditions. Secondly, the influences of materials, thicknesses, structures, positions, cell sizes and curvatures of grille, the structures of liner and the positions of detonating point to the dispersions of MEFP were researched through combining the liner’s crush mechanisms in shaped charge warhead. The research results turned out that the charge structure of the composite damage warhead had certain effects on the dispersion of performed fragments, and the dispersion of fragments could be regulated by changing the factors such as the positions of performed fragments and the thicknesses of shell, etc. And the dispersal angles of MEFP were improved by increasing the curvatures of the grille. Lastly, the regularities acquired in the numerical simulation were verified by experiment researches.
